Frenchonista in Amsterdam
27th of November was the date set by Samia Taika (the designer) and Nineteen PR to launch a new line of handmade clutches. The event was held in a super cozy location, the Chet’s jazz Cafe in the Negen Straatjes, and was packed with top celebs, bloggers, and lots of lovers from all around the world! Samia Taika herself is half French half Moroccan but decided to make her dream come true in the Netherlands, the country of acceptance. Presenting 5 models named after the 5 women that supported her the most during this amazing journey – Charlotte, Laila, Debbie, Angeline and Eva.
As I have mentioned before the Frenchonista clutch collection has already 5 models available in a big variety of colors and shapes and iPhone/BlackBerry cases are coming soon (lucky me I already have my own!). They are made out of 100% leather and handcrafted in Morocco, so expect something very well made and different from any other clutches you could find in stores before. The biggest model is so practical we could even fit our laptops in there! I really want one to carry Ohana around.
The launch of the collection couldn’t have started any better, as it was packed by Dutch celebrities that already support this emergent designer, such as actresses Carolien Spoor and Marly van der Velden, model Ovo Drenth and TV presenter Beertje van Beers. Top Dutch Bloggers including Shirley Visser from Styleguide.nl, The Lifestyle Hunters and Liza Chloe also accompanied Samia in her first big Fashion day.
What’s more, not only a lot of the Dutch socialites were present but also top French illustrator Angeline Melin made an special appearance for the launch as she is also the logo designer.
Ranging between 89.95 and 129.95 Euros, you can send your order to firstname.lastname@example.org or visit her website.
Big thanks to the Nineteen PR ladies, Anique, Alisa and Charlotte, and to Samia and Eva for having me!
