Versace x H&M: trending
Everybody is talking about it. Everybody is trying to sneak peek on the items, whether it is to love or to hate. ‘H&M and Versace” is a trending topic on Twitter. The newest addition to the very long list of collaborations for the Swedish giant H&M is THE Donatella Versace and it is ready to kick-off. Save the date: 17th of November, 2011.
The collection will include Women’s, Men’s and Homeware pieces full of vibrant colors, prints, leather and studs, that not only represent an iconic house but let’s us, the outsiders, grab a little of haute couture right at our budget. Since the collaboration was announced last June there has been a lot of speculation surrounding it; will it work as good as Lanvin’s? How long will it take to sell out? How high are the prices going to be?
With Abbey Lee Kershaw, Sasha Pivovarova, Daphen Groeneveld and Lindsey Wixson as main characters of the Women’s ad campaigns, photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot did the best job for me, the pictures are breathtaking and make the clothes look like they’re on a higher level than high street. Anna dello Russo was already seen rocking the studded black leather dress this month at Paris Fashion Week, and after the third weekend of November you could also have it in your closet for no more than 250 Euros.
I’d say stick to the black accents of the collection and stay away from the over colored items, high-gloss accessories, and Aloha Hawaii prints.
